There are many ways in which we are not honest with ourselves or others. On any given day, you may find yourself holding back the truth in simple ways like saying you're fine when you aren't or more complex ways like hiding an emotional truth from loved ones or even yourself. I'm embarking on a commitment to be radically honest—with myself and others. Regardless of the situation, practicing radical honesty with yourself is sure to be an enlightening process and will help you delve deeper into your spiritual journey.
Ep 142: Connecting with Compassion & Joy
It's important to acknowledge and feel compassion for the people suffering in the world right now. But it is also critical to continue to connect with joy and love, despite the suffering. While conflicts and natural disasters may not impact you directly on a personal level, they lead to deep collective sadness, pain, and fear. During these times, I believe it is even MORE important to make sure you cultivate joy, happiness, love, and the ability to see the magic in small or even big life moments.

Despite the conflicts in the world, now is the time to plant the seed of hope and fertilize it with clear intentions for yourself and the collective. The world may feel like an overwhelmingly tragic place to be right now. But I believe that together we have the power to transform the world. We can all cultivate a spark of love and high-frequency light within our hearts and allow it to flourish with the power of intention, prayer, and the belief that miracles not only can—but will—happen.

As we continue to experience the intensity of tumult and transformation in ourselves and the world at large, it is more important than ever that we create a stable foundation within our bodies and energetic field. When you engage in a daily spiritual practice—which can be as simple or complex as you choose—you regulate your nervous system, balance your emotional and physical bodies, and elevate your energy. As you do this, you become more of your true self and you give other people permission to become more of themselves.

As children, we are little balls of love, giving it to everyone, including ourselves. But then as we grow up, we are often conditioned to believe that self-love is selfish or narcissistic. Instead of finding love within, our culture teaches us to look for love, approval, and acknowledgment from others. Humans are emotional beings and I believe we are here to experience a broad spectrum of those emotions. When you push down your so-called negative feelings and have an attitude of "good vibes only", it's a slippery slope. Creating a fulfilling life requires discipline, determination, hard work, and humility—in addition to a sprinkling of metaphysics. When you can harness both the practical actions and spiritual practices, that's when the magic happens!
Ep 136: Creating safety from within
It is a fundamental human instinct to do what we need to in order to be safe. But sometimes that instinct can get in the way of our emotional and spiritual growth. Numbing your feelings, hiding your true self from the world, and avoiding dealing with your fears are just a few of the ways that creating the illusion of safety is actually putting you at risk. When you have the courage to delve into your deepest fears and share your feelings with trusted friends and mentors, you can begin to create safety within yourself.
Ep 135: Mood Follows Action
When you are feeling down or low energy, what's the best way to shift your energy and your mood? My experience has been that taking even one small step towards a goal, mission, or even in the direction of joy can be an incredibly effective way to change your vibration. Mood follows action. This is by no means a phrase that I came up with. In fact, I heard it multiple times this past week, which is why it felt like a message to talk about this week on the podcast.
